As I stated in my monthly President’s article, I am starting a monthly blurb on different Coffee Shops, and Breakfast and Lunch establishments in the East Bay of Rhode Island and Southeastern Mass.
I will start off with one of my favorites located in my hometown of Somerset, MA – The Pink Bean!
The Pink Bean features Organic Coffee, hot and cold brew, Latte’s, Expresso’s, Smoothies, and a decent healthy breakfast and lunch menu. (Menu available at pinkbeancoffee.com) They have been in business since 2013, and at their current location since around 2015. There is indoor and patio seating, with the patio being sheltered and enclosed by vinyl curtain windows in the colder weather, with a fireplace in the back corner for warmth. In the warmer weather, there is outdoor seating around a fire pit, and around a fish pond. (Fishing poles are NOT allowed! Yes, I know you guys and girls!) They are open 7 days a week, closing at 3pm. I would say that The Pink Bean is similar to Jitters, near Razee’s, but with year round seating!
Their address is 202 Slades Ferry Ave, in the south end of Somerset, just off Rte. 6, and is worth a stop by if you are ever in the area.
