To All,
Although the leaves are falling it doesn’t feel like fall. Not quite an extended summer, but warm temperatures and dry conditions have extended the “comfortable” riding season. Now is a good time to prepare the bikes for the cooler riding season. Tire pressure will need adjustment as the temps drop. Replace the summer air with winter air. Tire condition is important check those treads. Wet leaves on the ground can be a slick as ice! How’s your cold weather riding gear? Have you plugged in your heated gear since the last time you used it? Still blowing fuses? Only works half the time or half the jacket works leaving your arms or chest cold. Now’s the time to work out all those kinks. Battery connections, power cords, fuse relays, controllers and the heated gear itself. Numerous options from the old companies: Gerbing, Warm and Safe, Voltex. Of course, you can now be independent of the bikes electrical system and buy battery powered gear at home improvement stores, including vests, jackets and heated work gloves. Many options, so shop around. As I am writing this it is 70 degrees!
Next month the world-famous Chicken Run will be held at the world famous Wright’s Chicken Farm! Always a great time with good conversation, plenty of salty chicken and watching the hustle of the wait staff to feed a large raucous crowd! I will have an update on where we are meeting in a all hands email.
See you on Monday night! Come early for dinner and motorcycle camaraderie.
