Well, we set the clocks back last Sunday, and it is already noticeable as it is starting to get to dusk before 5pm. This morning, it is 31 degrees here, with frost on the car windshield! Time to break out the heated gear, as there is still plenty of great riding weather ahead!
Last Sunday, Carl Saccoccio hosted his annual “Vanilla Bean Ride In”. Even though it was a cool morning, there were plenty of hardy soles that made their way to Pomfret Ct. for this event! Carl, even with his recent hip surgery, showed up on his Airhead! (well, ok, a very nice 60’s vintage Volkswagen Bug!) Every year I look forward to this event as it is usually heavily attended with riders from MA, CT, RI, and beyond! It is great to see everyone come out and join in, no matter what you may ride!
Carl will also be hosting the annual “Chicken Ride” on Sunday, December 7th to Wrights Family Restaurant in Burrillville, RI. Many of us will meet up at the Groundwater Cafe (101 & 102) and ride to a delicious Chicken lunch. Kickstands up at 11:30, so be there early or meet us at the restaurant!
For any of us that might be contemplating adding some farkles to our trusty steed, Black Friday sales are just around the corner! Many accessory companies offer substantial discounts this time of year! Remember, your bike deserves a Christmas present also!!!
Our Monthly meeting is on the 10th at the Carriage House, as always. Tuesday breakfast is at the Cranston Diner for the month. Hope to see you there!
