Greetings! Happy October!
September was a fantastic month for weather… maybe one of the best ever, until…
The Rally! However, a little moisture didn’t keep the rally from being a success!
While not the most heavily attended rally, we had many return guests as well as a few new faces, and I think everyone enjoyed themselves. The Chef, once again, hit it out of the park with a fabulous Saturday evening meal of lobster, tenderloin steak, roasted potatoes, corn on the cob, and salad. It was a great meal! The rally is a group effort, led by Steve, the rally chair who did a great job organizing everything, and a team of members chipped in with the labor. Really great group effort!!!
I have been working with my new Chiggee device that brings Apple Car Play connectivity to my 2016 GSA. It is an amazing product that runs 3 different TFT dash screens and allows me to use CarPlay to run any of the 3 GPS apps I have on my iPhone. It all connects to the Sena device in my helmet. A remarkable device that costs quite a bit less than a Garmin GPS, which basically is just a GPS.
The Denali lights and horn come today and I’m looking forward to being more visible to the distracted drivers out there. I’m looking for a good solution to the rear turn signals and brake light. If anyone has had any luck with products that help make the back of the bike more visible please let me know.
Breakfast at The Groundwater Café was a bit sparsely attended this past Tuesday, but if you’re on the fence, they ran a great special just for us! The food is really good there and the option to sit outside or inside makes the place ideal for October weather. Hope to see you there this Tuesday!
October is a fantastic riding month with the trees turning color making many rides even more enjoyable. Hope you all have a great month!
