Over the Bridge – July 2025
This month’s Coffee Stop brings us to the Flour Girls Bakery and Cafe. Located on Rte. 6 in Fairhaven, at the corner of Narragansett Blvd. which is across the street from an entrance to the Fairhaven – Mattapoisett bicycle path.
My wife, Pat, and I took our Bicycles and enjoyed a cloudy, comfortable July morning pedaling along the coastal lined paved path. About 2 years ago, the path was continued into Mattapoisett over a raised boardwalk through the marsh area.
Afterwards, we had to stop at Flour Girls! They have been in business since 2012, and before that as a home run operation and a food truck.
Flout Girls offers Jim’s Organic Coffee, Latte’s, Iced Coffee, and Cold Brew, as well as baked goods, breakfast sandwiches and quiche. Soup and sandwiches are also available for lunch. There is a cozy atmosphere inside, with a loft for additional seating. Outdoor seating is available. They are open year round 7 days a week from 8am – 2pm.
Well worth the trip, especially to the very picturesque bike path!
