Well, Labor day has come and gone. The summer beach and tourist traffic will soon be slowing down. In short, it will be more enjoyable to ride our motorcycles and enjoy the more comfortable temperatures. Do you have any plans???
This coming weekend, is the BMW Vermont Club Rally in Goshen, VT, always a favorite! I already have a cabin full of members and several more in other cabins that are attending. Although the weekend is looking to be a damp one, I am still optimistic that we will enjoy each others company, meet some new friends, and get to do some great riding!
On August 23rd, our club held our first (of what might turn out to be an annual event) picnic at Colt State Park in Bristol, RI. The weather was great, site was near perfect, and spirits were high! Yours truly was the Grill Master, flipping burgers while Jimmy Carter resumed his role as the Saugy Master! Around 25 were in attendance and all seemed to have an enjoyable time. (Flamingos were also seen in abundance)! I encourage any and all feedback and we can talk further about this at our monthly meeting.
On Sunday, September 14th the Italian Motorcycle Owners Club (IMOC) will hold their annual show at the Hamilton Rod & Gun Club in Sturbridge, Ma. This years featured marque is Italian Race Bikes. This event usually draws over 200 visitors and is well worth the trip! If anyone is interested, I usually leave from the Vanilla Bean around 10 am for the relaxed 45 minute ride to Sturbridge. Show hours are from 10 am – 2 pm.
On Sunday, September 28th we will be assisting with the Ralph Razee Ride. This event is sponsored by Razee’s and our club always comes together to assist in any way that we can. If you can spare a couple of hours on this Sunday morning, please come down to Razee’s and help pitch in!
Our monthly Tuesday Breakfast is at Cindy’s Diner on Rte. 6 in Scituate. Monthly meeting at the Carriage House on the 8th. Hope to see you there!
Rubber side down!
