May 2025 – From the President

By Dave Pelletier

Hopefully, this month finds you getting out and riding! Yesterday, Norm & I rode to the Vanilla Bean for breakfast where it seemed to be Moto Guzzi Day, as there were about 6 in attendance! Whatever you ride, this is the season to enjoy!

With that, I have started thinking about routes for the MOA Rally in Lebanon Tenn., June 19 – 21. I will bring this up at our monthly meeting to get additional ideas.

A couple of us are planning on attending Americade in Lake George, NY on May 27 – 29, staying at McEnaney’s Lincoln Log Colony, (518-668-5326) if anyone else is interested. Great riding in the area and lots to do!

May is Motorcycle Awareness Month. Already there have been a couple of fatalities in the state. Lets hope that this is a safe year for all. As a result of being hit last year, I have started adding lights for visibility on my bikes. Anything that can draw attention helps!

Recently, we had a family trip to the Natural Bridge in Virginia. This is another place that should be on your list, especially if you are in the area. I was impressed, as I did not realize that the bridge is much larger than I expected, at 215 feet tall!

Our monthly meeting is on the 12th. Hope to see you there!

Rubber side down,

Dave Pelletier, Pres.
