Time to let this bike go, which I’ve owned since 2021. Though, it became my wife’s bike a few weeks after it entered the garage and sold her Africa Twin to keep this, which she preferred.
She crossed the US out West and back East in 2024 without any hiccups, other than a rear tire swap in Michigan after some 6000 miles. The bike is maintained as best as possible and has been an absolutely faultless machine. There are now 3 1290’s in our garage and one of them has to leave. This bike, with just over 25k miles, is new in comparison to my SAR which has over 3 times the mileage of this one. This 1290 is in really sharp nick, comes with a couple of after-market wind-shields, panniers with accompanying, but hard to find pannier liners, a wind-shield deflector, Guglatec fuel filtration, both pre and post pump, as well as Rottweiller SAS and canister delete. It will also be sold with its OEM workshop manual and KTM Owners folder with spare keys and key card.
Since its last oil change its been run less that 1000 miles has recent chain and sprockets and relatively fresh rubber with less than 2000 miles. Over all the bike looks really smart and clean and is ready and easily capable of crossing the continent again. If you’re interested in the bike get in touch here and we can chat over the phone.
