For August, when the mornings are warm and the sun usually shines, we are going to Cafe Water Street located at 279 Water Street, Warren, RI, on the waterfront.
Water Street is located on the Barrington River, with a nearby Marina that gives views of the Barrington shoreline, and numerous boats in the Harbor. With great views, it is a great place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee along with Breakfast and Lunch Crepes of many varieties. (you can even build your own!) They also have fresh baked goods to complement your coffee selection!
They offer Coffee, hot and cold, Espresso, Cappuccino, Latte, Chai, and Hot Chocolate.
Sitting on their covered deck, you can enjoy the views of the harbor, with the calm morning breeze to keep things from getting too hot.
This is another of my favorite spots in the summer, and they also have vinyl side covers for the cooler or inclement weather.
It is a short side trip from the East Bay Bike Path while on your way to Colt State Park! (a great way to burn off the calories from the baked goods!)
Cafe Water Street is open year round from 7am to around 9pm (10pm on weekends). Well worth the stop!
