Well, June is finally here! In about 3 weeks, we will have the longest day of the year! Sad, in a way, that they will start getting shorter after that.
After a Tuesday breakfast on May 12th, 7 of us headed out to Larz Anderson Auto Museum in Brookline, Ma. We all enjoyed the car collection and were heading back home around 3pm, so as to avoid heavy traffic. I guess you could say that it was a successful trip, as no one got “misplaced”! 🙂 If you have not been to Larz, you owe it to yourself to go. I am hoping to continue this “once a month” destination in the future. Possible locations for June and July are Audrain Auto Museum in Newport and the Newport Auto Museum in Portsmouth. Yes, we will be going over the Bridge!!! If you are interested, I am considering the 16th or the 23rd for June’s outing after breakfast.
I recently received a call from Doug Crowley of the Boston area BMW Car Club. (yes, BMW also makes cars!) Doug informed me that they hold an annual car show in Canton, Ma., “the Concourse de Elegance”! This year it is being held on Sunday, June 28th. He informed that this year, they would like to change things up, and invited us to bring our BMW Motorcycles to their show. He stated that they feel that we share in the BMW Marque and thought that we could bring a different point of view to their show. With this, I did mention the idea at our Tuesday breakfast with positive input. Bill Cusack from the Yankee Beemers indicated that they have a couple of members who are also in the Car Club, and that the YB’s would also like to join in! I will discuss this further at our monthly meeting.

Our Tuesday breakfast for June will be at Linda’s Diner near Bonnet Shores (Narragansett). Monthly meeting on the 8th at the Carriage Inn.
